Self-Paced Math 7 Course
Math 7 Options
Option #1 Hybrid Math 7
1st semester = At-home work provided by Ms. Lisa + Monthly Math Meet-Ups ($200 - first semester)
Work on first semester of math 7, which is mostly a review of math 6, at home for three weeks using Ms. Lisa’s Math 7 Self-Paced course (homework, video lectures, review material), then meet up on the first Thursday of the month with Ms. Lisa for direct instruction of the most challenging math 7 concepts from the first semester AND to play math games which help solidify your understanding. ($200 for first semester, including Monthly Math Meet-Ups)
2nd semester = Weekly two-hour Math 7 class with Ms. Lisa at Farm School ($550 - second semester)
After working through 1st semester material at home, students review with Ms. Lisa and get direct instruction each week for all of the second semester material which is where all the “new” and harder math concepts for Math 7 are.
We’ll do a year of Math 7 in one semester. This assumes that students have prepared by doing the first semester of math 7 as outlined above
Option #2 Totally Self-Paced
Work at your own speed on a year of Math 7.
Ms. Lisa will provide you with
PDF’s of the Math 7 Workbook & Algebra tiles manipulative worksheets.
Test-out options section-by-section so students are only completing the work that is new to them or that they have not yet mastered.
Detailed instructions for completing selected practice problems in each chapter as well as
answers & selected solutions.
Support videos for every section of every chapter.
Instructions for creating an Important Math Principles Notebook and developing math study skills. Students can use this notebook in Math 7 AND Math 8 + Honors Pre-Algebra.
A progress checklist so students (and parents) can see what they’ve completed and what they have left to master.
Math 7 Textbook
This course can be a very-little screen time course (unlike most self-paced courses) or for students who learn better with videos, there are 5 to 8 minute instructional videos for every single section of every chapter of the textbook which perfectly match the homework problems, as well as additional support videos for students who need extra examples.
